Gram Vikas Shiksha Niketan
On 15th August 1982 Gram Vikas Shiksha Niketan was established in Kumudabahal, Block – Thuamul Rampur, Kalahandi District, Odisha – 766037
Today we have 330 students from class 3 to 8. There are 167 boys and 163 girls students. They are mainly from the local poor and the socioeconomic class of nearby 80 villages. In our institute, we have 198 ST students, 116 SC students, 42 OBC students.
Teaching Staff
We have a strong team of efficient teachers and staff. There are 9 male and 4 female teachers and 1 medical staff and 2 sports coach and 2 cooks.
Library
In the Library of our school there are 2300 books and some regular newspapers and magazines. Students can easily get access to handle books and all the journals and magazines and newspapers.
ICT & Computer Lab
ICT Lab: Computer – 15, Laptop – 2, Printer – 1, Hard Disk- 2 Other: TV – 1, Projector – 16
Sports
Outdoor – Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho,Indoor – Weightlifting, Chess, Carom
Infrastructure Status
Separate buildings for academics, boys’ hostels, girls’ hostels, staff quarters and administrative building. Recently with the demand of increasing the school to senior secondary (10 + 2), Infrastructure work has started to take care of additional students.
