Mahendra Tanaya Ashram School
On 15th August 1992 Mahendra Tanaya Ashram School was established in Koinpur, Block – Rayagada, Gajapati District, Odisha – 761212.
Today we have 237 students from class 3 to 7. There are 146 boys and 91 girls students. They are mainly from the local poor and the socioeconomic class of nearby 65 villages. In our institute, we have 258 ST students and 3 OBC students.
Teaching Staff
We have a strong team of efficient teachers and staff. There are 8 male and 4 female teachers and 3 cooks.

Library
In the Library of our school there are 2300 books and some regular newspapers and magazines. Students can easily get access to handle books and all the journals and magazines and newspapers.
Sports
Outdoor – Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho,Indoor – Chess, Carom
Infrastructure Status
Land: 16 Acres.
We have 4 buildings in the school campus: school building, library & resource center, girls Hostel, kitchen.The school building was damaged in an earthquake. Classes are taken in the Gram Vikas training hall.
Recently the trust has collaborated with Ecolab, an infrastructure company, to develop new infrastructure for high school with modern facilities. The project, as per the plan, will be completed in June 2019.
